Papa Smurf is the wisest, oldest, and bravest Smurf of all, the big cheese, the head honcho. He’s the Smurf all other Smurfs all look up to. He is 542 years old and can find a solution to every situation, even as the Smurfs are continually challenging and testing his limits. Papa Smurf can do magic, and he keeps a laboratory where he creates potions that often help fellow Smurfs out of trouble.

Smurfette is smart, curious, brave, and always ready to go on new adventures. She loves trying out new hobbies like Smurf-fu, or fortune telling, or meditation! If only there were enough hours in the day for all her interests. Originally, Smurfette was created by Gargamel in an attempt to destroy the Smurfs by introducing them to a girl. Luckily, Papa Smurf worked his magic and turned Smurfette into a lovely, loving Smurf and an important member of the clan.

Brainy Smurf thinks he’s smarter than he really is, and he is certain that he’s smarter than everyone else. He considers himself the most responsible member of the crew and has decided that he is Papa Smurf’s right-hand Smurf. He’s got a phenomenal memory, which comes in handy when repeating Papa Smurf’s many life lessons. Basically, Brainy’s a thinker - or at least he thinks he’s a thinker. Now, if only the other Smurfs could think of a way to shut him up, right?

Hefty is naturally extra strong, and he believes that with great power comes great responsibility. His bulging muscles make him feel protective over his fellow Smurfs, even if they don’t believe they need protecting. He’s tough to miss - Hefty’s always flexing and showing off, and his quick temper can get him into trouble. Just don’t get him near Smurfette or he’ll blush in front of his (not-so-secret) crush!

Handy is a builder and extremely creative inventor. He’s always looking for something to fix, even things that don’t need fixing! His ears are always alert to the sound of a dripping faucet, and his mind is always cooking up new tools - self-driving wheelbarrows, diaper-changing robots, portable chin rests, and more! Handy is an optimist: he believes that every problem has a solution, and that he can build that solution.

For Jokey, every day is Smurfs Fool Day—and why shouldn’t it be? “Who doesn’t like a good joke?” is his motto. Always the village clown, Jokey is continually trying out gags and pranks. Sure, he’s got silly masks and fake spiders, but Jokey’s all-time favorite is a gift box that explodes in a friend’s face. Every occasion needs a good laugh, and no one’s more ready to deliver one than Jokey.

Baby Smurf is a super smart tyke who knows right from wrong, but gets reckless when he’s having fun. Of course, who could get mad at Baby with those cute round cheeks and that irresistible smile!

Vanity is proud of his good looks and can usually be found gazing lovingly at himself in the mirror. He’s a fashion junky - clothing, fabrics, design - and he often gives the other Smurfs style advice… even when they don’t ask for it.

The girls’ leader and the female counterpart to Papa Smurf. Wise, strong, brave, and funny, she gives the Smurf girls a role model to trust and look up to. She knows the secrets of nature and the properties of every kind of plant. She also loves to tease Papa Smurf in their playful rivalry.

Blossom is the group’s cheerleader, overflowing with positive energy. She’s incredibly talkative and gets excited about everything, bouncing around at a mile a minute. She has no filter and while that can get her into trouble, she’s also a great friend who loves to meet new people.

The fiercest member of the girls’ village, Storm is an outstanding athlete who’s an expert with a bow. She’s brave as can be, tough as nails, and loves to challenge Hefty by showing off how strong she is. Storm can be slow to trust new people, but she is extremely loyal and protective of her friends.

Farmer’s in charge of growing and harvesting all the Smurfs’ food, and he takes that job VERY seriously. He even talks to his crops, encouraging them to grow! He also cares for the towns snails, like any good farmer should. With his handy tractor and tools, Farmer’s as reliable a Smurf as you can find.

The first half of the town’s two-man fire brigade, Clumsy can’t cross a room without falling flat on his face. He’s constantly dropping things and tripping over his own feet, but it’s impossible to be angry with him for long - after all, he might be the most sensitive, kind, and empathetic Smurf of all.

The other half of the town’s two-man fire brigade, Dimwitty is just dim enough not to realize how dumb he really is. If you ask Dimwitty for apples, he might bring you carrots, but when it comes to doing chores, he is tireless! He’s full of kindness and would be the most useful Smurf in the land if only he weren’t so dense.

Gargamel is a conniving, evil human wizard. His desires for riches and power are his driving forces… well, that and an obsessive need to capture Smurfs. At every turn, Gargamel is frustrated and humiliated by the Smurfs, but he remains the greatest threat to the Smurfs’ existence. Luckily, Gargamel is sloppy and tends to create overly complicated traps and outrageous strategies for catching them.

Azrael the cat is Gargamel’s sidekick and sole companion, but he doesn’t always listen to his master. He’s got serious cattitude, and usually knows better than to go along with Gargamel’s silly plans. Still, this cruel kitty is always working on his ultimate goal: catching and eating a Smurf!
