Is Buddy A Wendell or Vinnie?

On Wendell and Vinnie, Buddy Handelson may play a school-obsessed 12-year-old who just doesn't get sports or video games. But what's the real Buddy like? Would he rather study up on science with Wendell or get his game on with Vinnie? In his interview with Time For Kids, Buddy explained, "I like to play video games, but probably not as much as Vinnie does. I like to go to school... not as much as Wendell does. And I like baseball."

So, does that make Buddy more of a Wendell or a more of a Vinnie? Well the truth is, he's a bit of both! He dished, "I am a mix in between, I think, because Vinnie likes video games and to watch TV [like me], but then he’s really [into] sports and stuff. I'm not really into sports that much; I'm not really athletic. Wendell is smart and he likes to learn, and I like to learn too, so I'm kind of in the middle."

So in reality, Buddy keeps it balanced between the TV and the textbooks. But we still love him as the math whiz he is on the show. The good news is, whether or not he's in character, Buddy can always help us with our homework! :)
